Fred Hollow


Fred Hollows (1929–1993)

Fred  was a Doctor and treated a horrible disease called Trachoma that can cause people to go blind.This disease was very common to the Aboriginal people and he helped them and people like us as well with their eyes.Fred Hollows came to Australia treating eyes and saving people from blindness he was a true deticated man.After five years he was the head of the eye department at a Sydney hospital. In the 1970's Fred helped set up a program to help Aboriginal people from going blind or just tocure their eyes from diseases.Fred has came from New Zealand. Fred came to Australia when he was just 7 years old.Fred came to Australia because he got a job there. Fred came to Australia by plain. Fred Hollows saved thousands of peoples eyes he set up teams of doctors and nurses to go to different places to help Aboriginal people with thier eyes and helped out with the our eyes as well so that's why he is remembered today for what he did was truly amazing.
