FRED HOLLOWS!
Who was he
He was an eye specialist who worked in poor parts of the world helping blind people to get there eye sight.
Where he came from
Fred was born in New Zealand on the 9th of April 1929.
When he immigrated
Fred moved to Australia 1965 and began his adventures of eye surgeon. He lived in New South Wales for 25 years and worked as a professer of ophthalmology at the University of New South Wales.
Why he moved to Australia
Fred Hollows was offered a job in Australia as an eye surgeon.
How he came to Australia
Fred hollows came by plane to this wonderful country Australia and started work right away as a eye surgeon.
How he impacted on Australia
He saved lots of peoples eye sights, all around the world. Australia wanted to offer him a job because we would have a happier,brighter future and Australia would not be like this country today!Fred Hollows died from cancer on the 10th of Febuary and we all still believe that he was a great man. Fred hollows now has a foundation called the Fred Hollows foundation and it still impacts on us today.
